Can you help? Worcester PD says 'large number' of dogs need foster and adoptive homes
WORCESTER ― They're adorable and looking for their forever homes.
The Worcester Police Department said the Worcester Animal Rescue League has been at capacity for the past several months. Now they're working to find both foster and adoptive families for a large number of dogs.
"These dogs were the result of calls for service to WPD's Animal Control," said Joe Cersosimo, spokesman for the Worcester Police Department. "They were strays or surrendered to us by citizens who couldn't take care of them."
In a video posted to social media, several dogs can be seen greeting the camera through the bars of their kennels.
The Police Department said the Animal Rescue League is also in dire need of supplies including Purina One dog food, Friskies pâté, blankets, towels, laundry detergent and paper towels.
Donations can be dropped at the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St.
