Indecency charges dropped against Grafton man
A grand jury in Texas has decided not to indict a local man on sexual indecency charges.
Eric P. Rossini, 42, of 74 Crosby Road, had faced two charges of indecency-fondling. He was alleged to have sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl on two consecutive nights in July 2011, when students from his Massdojo center in Shrewsbury competed in a tournament in Arlington, Texas.
Melody McDonald, public information officer for the Tarrant County, Texas, criminal district attorney’s office, said the charges were presented to a grand jury Jan. 3. She said the grand jury’s decision was to not indict Mr. Rossini.
“Both cases were presented to a grand jury, which heard the evidence and the circumstances of the cases and, on January 3, 2013, made a decision not to indict, which concludes this matter,” Ms. McDonald said in an email. “Since grand jury proceedings are secret under the law, we are not privy to the reasons for their decisions and prohibited from discussing it.”
