White House faves
Art Museum concert
The Worcester Chamber Music Society will be performing some of Jacqueline Kennedy’s favorite classical arrangements in a concert titled “The White House and Beyond” at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 13 in the Worcester Art Museum. The concert is thematically tied to the museum’s current “Kennedy to Kent State: Images of a Generation” exhibition.
The program includes Beethoven’s Cello Sonata No. 3 in A Major; Johnston’s String Quartet No. 4 Amazing Graces; Threnody I & II by Copland; and Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor. The concert will be preceded by a tour of the exhibition at 5 p.m. Following the performance, there will be a reception with the musicians. Tickets are $35; $25 for museum members.
